OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Hi, guys! It's December now! It's incredible how time flies. It happens when you leave your 20's.

I don't even know how to start this blog post... It's been a long time since the last time i wrote a post. One of the main reasons i created this blog was for practicing my english while i was following my passions. I really have to figure out how to organize my limited time in order to be more active here.

But let's move on to the outfit:

I create this Autumn/Winter look with pieces that aren't necessarily available or affordable. It's just to share with you some outfit ideas.
I know i did that before. But today i will try something slightly different. I will tell you where the pieces are came from, just in case you're interested to know.

I started this look with the mini skirt, just because i'm truly obsessed with plaid, specially black & white. This skirt happens to be available and affordable. It's from Romwe and it costs £12.63. You can find the exact same skirt at SheIn(sheinside) (£12.63) MakeMeChic (£12.15), WithChic (£18.69), and similar at H&M (£14.99), Primark (£8).

Then i moved on to the footwear, just because nothing goes better with a mini skirt than a pair of thigh high boots. It's sexy, trendy and it will keep us warm. Perfect for the Autumn/Winter season. I love (i mean looooooove) the suede look-alike material.
This pair isn't so available, nor super affordable. These are the Kendall+Kyle Ayla boots. The price is around £170 - £190.
You can easily find look-alikes at River Island (£75), Asos (£45), Topshop (£160), H&M (£39.99), and Primark (£22), Nelly (£27.95).

After that, i wanted to add a pop of pear green. I choose this Bally jumper because i liked the flared sleeves. Unfortunately, it's out of stock. It wasn't affordable anyway (£880).
I struggled to find something similar. I could only find a jumper that is similar in colour at Debenhams (£49).

I choose the this bag because of the colour. I wanted something green as well, but in a slightly different shade, because i'm not the "matchy-matchy" kind of girl.
Since it's a Celine bag, you might guess that it's expensive. Once more, i only found bags that are similar in colour at TK Maxx (£99.99) and New Look (£18.99).

To complete the look, i wanted a sleeveless outerwear, just to show-off the bell sleeves jumper. This gilet was perfect. You can find it at River Island (£60).

And that was the outfit i shared today. I really hope you like it.

Autumn Outfit Inspiration

Autumn

Sometimes i like to create outfits regardless price. I like to mix and match images of clothes, in order to create outfits i would like to wear.
That's different from an "Outfit of the Day", because here i am not limited to pieces that are avaiable or affordable. It's just to have fun and give you some ideas to inspire your outfits.

Pink October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hi, guys! I'm here to speak about "Pink October".

What's Pink October?
The Pink October is a movement of the fight against breast cancer. It began in 1990 in New York, and aims to raise awareness to people (especially women, who are the most affected) about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.

Self examination and Mammography:
Self-examination should be done monthly. The best time to do it is a few days after menstruation when the breast is less bloated. For those who are in menopause, you can at any time of the month.
In self examination you should check for lumps on the breast or underarm, and if there is any nipple discharge, changes in breast appearance, such as swelling or the direction of the nipple.

Common fears with no evidence: Antiperspirants and Bras
There is no scientific evidence of the connection between the bra or antiperspirant deodorant and the development of breast cancer.

HAVING THAT CUTE ORGANIZED MAKEUP VANITY

I always had that dream of a cute organized makeup vanity inside a big closet.

Last year, when i was still living in Netherlands (Holland), i had a room interely dedicated to my clothes and beauty products.
It wasn't a big closet, but it was cute. It had those ikea's hanger racks and all my makeup was inside a big drawer. When i had just a few makeup items, it was fine. Later, my collection started to grow... And then it was a mess.

In order to avoid that kind of mess, i want to share with you five nice makeup organizers that are pretty inexpensive.

BURGANDY INSPIRATIONS

Burgundy

Today i'm feeling lazy... I worked a 10 hours shift at the factory. Now, i'm just laid on the couch, while i enjoy a large cup of tea.
I have a clay mask on my face. I bought it at "99p store", but unfortunately the store doesn't exist anymore. So, it's pointless to show you.

The way i like to relax after a busy day is creating outfits, regardless price. I like to mix and match images of clothes, in order to create outfits i would like to wear.
That's different from an "Outfit of the Day", because here i am not limited to pieces that are avaiable or affordable. It's just to have fun and give you some ideas to inspire your outfits.

Today i was on a "burgandy" mode. It's a rich colour that looks really good on autumn oufits.

BLACK OUTFIT INSPIRATIONS

Black Outfits

I've always been told that women of colour could not wear black. To be honest, i was told a lot of other things i could not care less.
I love wearing black. The little black dress is awesome, but there's many ways to love black. You can experiment with different cuts, prints, textures... Just have fun!

DRUGSTORE "BACK TO SCHOOL" MAKEUP

Hi, guys! This a "Back to School"  makeup tutorial, featuring drugstore products, that is wearable and looks good on dark skin tones. It's an easy and simple makeup look for beginners or just for those busy days.

Note: The colours i used don't look too heavy for an everyday makeup look on women of colour. If you aren't a black woman, you might have to go few shades lighter on the eyeshadows and lipstick as well.
